London Road Community Centre

 

 Along with facilitating many activities and groups highlighted within this report, the London Road Community Centre continues to act as a successful community resource in a prime location within the community.  Recently celebrating its 4th Birthday, the centre has well exceeded all expectations, covering two building, which are owned by the Partnership. London Road Community Centre has a constituted management committee consisting of local residents who manage the day to day running along with the Centre Manager.   The Centre is fully sustainable, employing six members of staff and offering a variety of services.

 

London Road Community Centre Sunshine CafeSunshine Corner Café :

The Sunshine Corner Café is open daily, Monday to Friday, from 9am to 2.30pm.  The café offers a wide selection of meals which are available to eat in or take away.  The café also caters for events and parties within the Holyhead area.  The café was recently awarded a five star silver award through Anglesey County Council’s Food Safety Department.

 

 Meals on Wheels:

The Centre is also contracted through Isle of Anglesey County Council to provide Meals on Wheels across Anglesey.  At present between 30–38 meals a day are provided.

  

London Road Community Centre Gym

Fitness Room

As previously mentioned within this report the London Road Fitness Room continues to operate offering residents the opportunity to join a state of the art fitness room at a low cost price. All inductions are carried out by a qualified instructor.

 

 

 

Mini Bus

The London Road Community Centre has its own 17 seater mini bus which can be used by local community groups and projects. Insurance and servicing is currently sponsored by North Wales Fire and Rescue and W J Davies.

 

London Road Community Centre Music RoomMusic Room

The fully equipped sound proof music room provides local bands with a facility to practice.  It is also used for structured lessons and projects such as Complete Control Music, Community Music Wales and Splash activities.
