Morlo now employs a number of highly skilled and motivated staff who work from three centres based within the Morawelon & London Road wards.
Morlo, a not for profit Company Limited by Guarantee, was set up as a Communities First Programme in October 2001. Communities First is a long term strategy, implemented and funded by the Welsh Assembly Government, for improving the living conditions and prospects for people in the most disadvantaged communities in Wales.
As stated in the Welsh Index of Multiple Deprivation, Morlo is ranked 119 (10%) of the most deprived wards in Wales. In 2001 Morlo employed 2 part-time Co-ordinators to carry out the work of the Partnership to :-
“support, sustain and assist the Morawelon and London Road Communities to improve the quality of life and the environment for all the residents” as per their constitution.

During the week of the 24th October FREE community activities will be taking place to celebrate Morlo's 10th anniversary! This will also give people the opportunity to nominate people and/or groups that have made a difference in our community over the last 10 years.
